Oak Spindle Bench

Designed by Nathan Yong for Ethnicraft the Oak Spindle Bench is both classic and contemporary - a perfectly balanced piece that seamlessly blends into an urban landscape.

Inspired by the traditional yarn-spinning mechanism, the Spindle Bench wittily adopts the archetype form of its namesake into the design. Perfectly aligned spokes in the backrest, slightly tapered legs and rounded edges add a soft, sensual quality to this beautiful piece, while a more streamlined profile gives it modern dynamism.

This item is crafted from European oak timber that originates from well managed forests in France and Serbia. The oak is finished with a pigmented hardwax oil giving it its' desired natural colour. Each piece is beautifully unique with naturally occurring variations in wood grain, texture, colour, knots and other innate characteristics that are inherent to solid wood.
